Rocket fired into northern Israel from Lebanon as Gaza conflict endures

Jerusalem (CNN) - The option of an Israeli ground invasion into Gaza remained on the table Friday, as Hamas militants fired rockets into Israel for another day.

But the conflict has had an uneven toll: Israel's airstrikes on Gaza in response to the rocket attacks have left more than 100 dead and have pushed medical facilities there to the brink, Palestinian officials said.

The spokesman for Gaza's Ministry of Health told CNN that more than 100 people - including 23 children and 24 women - have been killed, and nearly 800 others have been injured.

Australian Transport Safety Bureau Chief Commissioner Martin Dolan described the object as appearing to be sheet metal with rivets and said it was recovered on the coast of Western Australia.

"It's sufficiently interesting for us to take a look at the photographs," he said. "We take all leads seriously."

After Pennsylvania school stabbing, authorities and community ask: 'Why?'

Murrysville, Pennsylvania (CNN) - A day after a Pennsylvania student rampaged through his high school's hallways, stabbing wildly with two kitchen knives, hints of a motive remain elusive.

Who is 16-year-old Alex Hribal, and what troubled him?

Hribal was charged as an adult and faces four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault related to the 21 people he allegedly wounded.

Some classmates at Franklin Regional Senior High School describe him as having few friends and being quiet, but also as a "really nice kid."

An agony for relatives of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 passengers

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (CNN) - A woman wailed as security guards dragged her out of the briefing room used to provide updates on missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

She is the mother of one of the passengers, and her protest is but one sign that patience is fraying among the relatives of the missing.

The families of the passengers have been mostly out of the spotlight as Malaysian authorities spearhead a mission to find the plane. But as day 12 rolled around with no answers, the frustration became evident.
