Jerusalem (CNN) - Jerusalem ramped up security after two Palestinian cousins wielding a gun and butcher knives attacked a synagogue during morning prayers, killing four worshipers and a police officer and wounding several others.

(CNN) - A terror attack in Jerusalem has left three American rabbis and a British one dead, butchered during their morning prayers, along with a policeman who was critically wounded in the attack and eventually succumbed from his wounds.

The boys, ages 9 to 11, died Wednesday when a shell from an Israeli gunship exploded near them at the Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to Palestinian officials.
An Israeli official said the shelling was another example of Hamas using civilians as human shields - intimating that the boys had been left to play near a rocket launcher.
