House leader 'likely' spoke to white supremacist group in 2002
Washington (CNN) - Rep. Steve Scalise, the No. 3-ranking House Republican, isn't denying a Louisiana blog's allegation that he spoke at a white supremacist forum in 2002.
According to an agenda for the event and notes attendees posted afterward, Scalise appeared at the National/International EURO Workshop on Civil Rights - a forum hosted by a white nationalist organization founded by David Duke, a former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Australian Amb.: Australia helping key ally, neighbor Indonesia in hunt for plane
(CNN) - Bad weather hampered Monday's search for AirAsia Flight QZ8501, and with a long rainy season, weather in the search area today will look a lot like it did the morning 8501 went down. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the region.
One of the key countries helping with the search is Australia, which of course played a big role in the hunt for Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 earlier this year.
Kim Beazley, Australian Ambassador to the United States, joins "The Lead" to detail the efforts.

What would pilot have done after being denied permission to elevate to avoid storm?
(CNN) - If weather is truly to blame for the sudden disappearance of AirAsia Flight QZ8501, that raises questions.
Such as why, according to the Wall Street Journal, nearly a dozen other planes managed to fly through the same region at the same time, without incident.
If the weather in the region was that bad, should this plane have been allowed to take off in the first place? And knowing that the pilot of the AirAsia flight requested to fly at a higher altitude and was denied, what options would a pilot have at that point to safely fly the plane?

Experts: Lessons still not learned from previous air disasters
(CNN) - While the mystery and geography have led to easy comparisons between the disappearances of the AirAsia flight and Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, there are also some distinct differences.
For starters, the search area for Flight 370 was much deeper in the Indian Ocean. Compared to the more shallow, heavily-trafficked Java Sea.
And then there are the sizes of the search areas. For Flight 370, it was about the size of West Virginia. For AirAsia, at least right now, it's about the size of West Virginia and South Carolina combined. Of course it's early yet.
