(CNN) - 'Guardians of Peace' already claimed responsibility for the Sony hacking. Now it's trying to intimidate moviegoers from seeing the movie that motivated the massive data dumps.
Seth Rogen's "The Interview," the comedy about an assassination plot against North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, is due out on Christmas day, but will premier in New York this week.
The group posted a terrorizing message on Tuesday, invoking 9/11 as it threatened theaters.
"The world will be full of fear," the post reads. "Remember the 11th of September 2001. We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time."
