Sydney siege ends in hail of bullets
(CNN) – A brazen act of terror in the heart of downtown Sydney had law enforcement officials on high alert on Monday.
Two hostages are confirmed dead, with four others in the hospital.
The gunman, an Islamic extremist and criminal known to law enforcement, was killed at the scene.
