(CNN) - We're getting new information on what role U.S. intelligence had in ending a 16-hour hostage standoff in Sydney.
Australian special forces and police stormed the Lindt Chocolate Cafe from two directions - killing the hostage taker - and using some borrowed tactics from the United States.
Australian law enforcement met with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York back in September.
