(CNN) – The body of beheaded journalist and former ISIS hostage James Foley is reportedly being shopped around for $1 million.
Buzzfeed reports ISIS middlemen have tried to approach the Foley family as well as the U.S. government about paying for the former journalist's remains.
A White House spokeswoman tells CNN they are seeking more information, and if true that it is another example of the group's "depravity."
The Foley family says that the Obama administration stopped them from paying a ransom for their son to be delivered alive, would they stop the family for paying a ransom for his remains?
CNN terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank discusses in the video above.
