(CNN) - There is a flurry of conflicting accounts on the fate of the evil mastermind behind the terror group ISIS, as the U.S.-led coalition seems disturbingly under-informed, shall we say, about where its bombs are going and whom exactly they are hitting.
What we know for sure is that the Pentagon says U.S. airstrikes took place targeting ISIS leaders near Mosul. But what has not been confirmed is whether the head of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, survived those strikes, or if he was in the convoy to begin with.
