Is the U.S. goal to destroy, or contain ISIS?
(CNN) – President Obama Wednesday said the U.S. objective is to "degrade and destroy" the militant group ISIS. But less than 20 minutes later, he talked of making ISIS a "manageable problem."
Those appear to be two different scenarios.
Does the U.S. have as its objective the destruction of ISIS? Or the containment of ISIS?
State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki joins CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" to explain.
