(CNN) - As many as nine in ten people who get it, will die. And right now, we're witnessing the worst outbreak of Ebola in history.
But just how close did Ebola come to potentially reaching the US?
Health officials say a man who died from the virus after collapsing at an airport in Nigeria was an American who had one more stop to make before going home to Minnesota, to see his wife and kids.
The current outbreak of the virus is now the largest ever, in terms of those infected and, in reach.
So how concerned should Americans be?
