Gaza City (CNN) - One bomb fell on a center for the disabled. Another wiped out 18 members of the same family.
By Monday, the death toll from nearly a week of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza had reached 185 - all of them Palestinians - with at least 1,385 wounded, according to Palestinian health authorities.
The death toll is now higher than the number killed in Gaza during the 2012 war.
'We have nothing'
Over the weekend, Israel dropped leaflets instructing residents to leave northern areas of Gaza, where it planned to carry out strikes. But Hamas, which controls Gaza, told people to stay put.

(CNN) – Egypt called for a cease-fire Monday between Israel and Palestinian factions in Gaza, to stop the bloodshed and to project the innocent.
Palestinian groups in Gaza had called on Egypt to intervene and pressure Israel.
"Egypt shall receive guarantees from both sides of their commitment to implement what has been agreed upon, and shall follow up on its implementation and engage with either side in the case of any action that impinges on its stability," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The Israeli cabinet called an emergency meeting Monday to consider Egypt's ceasefire proposal.
(CNN) - A Guam-bound United Airlines flight that was forced to land on remote Midway Island after pilots detected an electrical odor experienced a mechanical problem, the carrier said Monday.
The Boeing 777 was carrying 335 passengers and 13 crew from Honolulu when it diverted to the Pacific atoll last Thursday, United spokeswoman Mary Clark said.
