Airing of grievances: LeBron a festivus gift

(CNN) – The city of Cleveland, Ohio, has had more rivers go on fire than sports championships in the past 40 years.

Today, finally, they had something to cheer for when LeBron James announced he was returning to his hometown, and to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the franchise that took him as the number one overall pick in the draft back in 2003.

It's the kind of swerve only seen in pro wrestling, or maybe Star Wars – the hero turned villain gets redemption.

James announced his return home in a Sports Illustrated essay, no televised "decision" that will haunt him.

"I looked at other teams, but I wasn't going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy," James wrote.

So is all forgiven? Aaron Goldhamm, co-host of ESPN Cleveland Radio's "The Really Big Show" weighs in.
