(CNN) – Tension are ratcheting up in Ukraine, with pro-Russia forces in the eastern part of the country seizing control of government buildings and saying they want no part of anything brokered between diplomatic leaders in Geneva aimed at easing tensions.
The Geneva agreement provides an "opportunity" for deescalation, says Democratic Rep. David Cicilline, a member of the foreign affairs committee.
"It's time for Russia to do what they say they are going to do, and stop talking about it," Cicilline said in an interview with CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."
(CNN) – While the U.S. is not committing to sending lethal aid, such as weapons, to Ukraine, it is about to launch a major show of force with the help of Ukraine's neighbors.
The Pentagon says the move is a direct result of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
