Former pilot: Missing plane's deliberate course is telling

(CNN) – As part of the investigation into missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, officials are looking into concerns that lithium batteries in the cargo hold, which have been blamed in previous crashes, could have played a role in the disappearance, according to U.S. officials briefed on the latest intelligence and law enforcement developments in the investigation. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release details to the media.

But even with this new information, former commercial and corporate pilot Anthony Roman is still leaning towards this being a "man made" event, saying the plane's deliberate course indicates somebody was still in control.

Check out our interview with Roman in the video above.

Conspiracy theories for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

(CNN) – The search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is so vast, and the facts are so few – is it any wonder that this monster void is filled with every possible theory? From plausible to outlandish?

This most desperate need for resolution comes from the most disastrous of events, the kind that must have an explanation outside of indiscriminate fate or a lone gunman.

Recreating the last known path of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

(CNN) – Among the many unanswered questions surrounding missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370: What was happening inside the cockpit just moments before the flight lost contact?

While details may never be known for certain, there are ways for investigators to at least get a sense for what that pilot and co-pilot of that flight may have experienced in the night skies over the Gulf of Thailand.

CNN's Martin Savidge took the co-pilot's seat inside the cockpit of a Boeing 777 simulator in Ontario, Canada. He replicates the exact path of flight of 370 from takeoff to the plane's disappearance in the video above.
