(CNN) – Tension dramatically mounted in Ukraine's Crimea region Friday as its ambassador to the United Nations warned Russia against any further violation of its territorial borders, a warning that came as the United States urged Russia to pull back from the region or face possible consequences.

What we found in the Clinton documents

(CNN) – A new look at the inner workings of the Clinton White House emerged Friday, with the National Archives and Records Administration releasing a first batch of confidential memos and papers.

Some 4,000 to 5,000 pages of documents came out shortly after 1 p.m. ET.

Heavy demand appeared to disable the website of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library for some users in the first minutes after the documents were released.

Seth Rogen: It's not just about the testimony of a 'stoner, idiot, actor'

(CNN) – Actor Seth Rogen slammed senators for ignoring not only his personal pleas for more Alzheimer's funding and research, but those of a former colleague.

"I could totally understand if they didn't want to hear the testimony of a stoner, idiot, actor," Rogen told CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

"Honestly, to me the most distressing thing is another (lawmaker), who these guys actually knew, was talking about how he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's," said Rogen, referring to the testimony of former Congressman Dennis Moore.

Researchers and statisticians also testified, detailing the financial toll of Alzheimer's, and "they still couldn't be bothered to hang around to hear it," said Rogen.

Political tension grows in Ukraine's Crimea region

Simferopol, Ukraine (CNN) - Political tension roiled in Ukraine's Crimea region Friday, as U.S. officials received assurances that Russian military activities there were routine and not intended as a threat to Ukraine sovereignty.

At the same time, Ukrainian officials grappled with rising secessionist passions in the Russian-majority region and faced major disruptions to airport and communications services.

The region's airspace was closed Friday. Further, the government accused Russian Black Sea forces of trying to seize two airports in Crimea but said Ukrainian security forces had prevented them from taking control.
