Hillary Clinton's first gaffe of 2016?

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton, pressed by ABC's Diane Sawyer in a clip of a larger interview that will air Monday night, says that her family had "no money" when they left the White House and "struggled to piece together the resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea's education."

That's right, houses, as in plural. Most Americans can only dream of the kind of such wealth, and Clinton is crying poverty.

Is it fair to say this is the first gaffe of 2016?

The New York Times' Amy Chozick and Buzzfeed's Ben Smith weigh in.
