(CNN) – Thanks to the detection of two new pings, the search area for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has narrowed. But searchers face daunting ocean depths, up to three miles down. Even with a potentially narrowed search area, there are still many unanswered questions.
CNN analysts Rob McCallum, an ocean search specialist, and David Soucie, author of "Why Planes Crash," and commercial pilot Anthony Roman discuss the latest challenges.
