The latest on national protests. Plus, what went wrong in Yemen rescue attempt?
(CNN) – Sure, Governor Chris Christie still mired in scandal back in New Jersey, but that hasn't stopped him from making it rain for the Republican party.
The Republican Governor's Association has reportedly raised at least $8.5 million this year with Christie as chairman, who helped bring in $6 million in January alone. That's double what the RGA says they've ever raised before in the same time period.
Tonight, Christie heads across the Hudson to New York's storied Harvard club, where he'll meet with more donors at the national republican senatorial committee's "majority makers" policy retreat, and make the case that the GOP can take the Senate, and make in-roads everywhere, even in the blue states.
CNN's chief congressional correspondent Dana Bash, and The New York Times Magazine 's Jim Rutenberg join CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" to discuss Christie, Ted Nugent, and the return of Kathleen Willey. Check out the video above.
