Denver Mayor Michael Hancock makes a Super Bowl bet with CNN's Jake Tapper

For more of our interview with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, watch "The Lead with Jake Tapper" on CNN at 4 p.m. ET.

(CNN) - Super Bowl XLVIII is coming up, and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is – not surprisingly – rooting for his home team the Denver Broncos. The team's strong offense will edge out the Seattle Seahawks' defense and win the game by 3-6 points, Hancock predicts.

"Particularly in inclement weather, I think the offense has the edge. And when you have someone like Peyton Manning, I'll take his ability to really study and prepare for any type of defense that he'll see," said Hancocks.

CNN's Jake Tapper – a Philly boy – is backing the Seahawks, and is willing to put some skin in the game. "The Lead" team doesn't want any Rocky Mountain oysters, so Hancock suggests wagering some Colorado beef, or "great green chili" in exchange for some Philadelphia pizza.

What should they wager? Stay tuned for more.
