Web exclusive: Sen. Alexander's plan to replace Obamacare

Watch CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" at 4 p.m. ET for more of our interview with Republican Senator Lamar Alexander.

Republicans say "repeal and replace Obamacare" all the time, but there does not appear to be any coherent strategy for what would replace it that would insure millions of Americans who do not have health insurance, and take some of the other steps that the Affordable Care Act does, such as ensuring people with preexisting conditions do not face discrimination, and allowing people up to age 26 to stay on parents' health plans.

In an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, outlines his plan to replace Obamacare.
